"Mr. Dinwiddie is among a number of choreographers whose recent work raises questions of authorship and originality. In short, these artists are playing with the very definition of choreography." --The New York Times

Through the wide-angle lens of the physical detritus of human life, The Accursed Items presents a moving portrait of humans and the myriad ways our lives can go astray: Poor communication, selfishness and vanity; the abuse of alcohol and other drugs; the deterioration of the mind and body through accidents and aging; and our general failure to get our shit together.

Andrew Dinwiddie’s choreography has been performed at Galapagos, P.S. 122, St. Anne’s Warehouse, Ur, BAX, the Chocolate Factory, the Club at LaMama, Downstairs at the Ontological, the Red Humor Salon, WAX at University Settlement and Minneapolis’ Bryant-Lake Bowl. He is a 2007-2008 Resident Artist at the Brooklyn Arts Exchange and a co-curator of the acclaimed performance series Catch. Andrew is a performer with and the administrative director of David Neumann’s advanced beginner group, and has additionally had the pleasure of performing for Big Dance Theater, Stacy Dawson, Nellie Tinder, Karinne Keithley, Sibyl Kempson, Jennie Marytai Liu, Ken Nintzel, Richard Maxwell, Linas Phillips, Kourtney Rutherford, Kate E. Ryan/13P, Jenny Seastone Stern and Chris Yon.
